Too Faced Chocolate Bar Pallete Review

Hey Everyone!!! So today I'll be reviewing the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette! (Finally! haha) I know I'm pretty late getting the palette cause it was a part of too faced's 2014 Spring Collection but I got it now! AND I LOVE IT SOOOO MUCH ♡♡♡♡

The shadows are made of 100% real cocoa powder and it smells soooo good!!! Honestly I get so tempted to eat the pallete whenever I use it (but I obviously dont! ><)

The packaging is also adorable as usual! Too Faced always has the best packaging and a lot of the time, I'm just sucked in by their cute packaging.

The pallete comes in 16 shades consisting of mattes and shimmers. The color pigmentation really varies. Some have nice pay off while others dont. My favorite color has got to be salted caramel. It's honestly the nicest matte shade I've ever used! It's perfect for blending and is pigmented as well. I really like all the colors in the pallete, except for strawberry bon bon. It's the tackiest color of pink and is so chalky the shade doesn't even look pink. lol. I usually only buy neutral palletes, but this pallete has some non neutrals as well. I was a bit hesitant on those colors and was truthfully turned off by them, but when I actually tried them out, I loved them! My favorite would be cherry cordial but it's a bit chalky as well :(

Non neutral colors: Strawberry Bon Bon, Candid Violet, Amaretta, Cherry Cordial

Something I actually don't like about the pallete is the color pay off. Some of the colors are beautiful when you swatch it, but when you actually put it on it looks chalky and washed out (Crème Brulee). However, it also does work in reverse5 as well! The colors that look chalky in swatches work great when applied on the lids.

Another thing I don't like is that the shades look muddy when I blend shades in with eachother. And my eyeshadow falls out and loses its "crispness" sometimes after a couple hours.

Swatches start from top row and end at bottom

I would say that the second row has the least pigmentation, while the third has the most.

With Primer (Urban Decay Primer Potion: Sin)

I tried to swatch with all my might but the swatches came out chalky on camera

My Verdict:

I seriously love this pallete with all my heart. I honestly treat it like my baby. The nice packaging and the stunning choice in colors really makeup for the short comings of this pallete.

Pros:
Shade Colors
Packaging
Cute concept
Nice chocolatey smell

Cons:
Some colors aren't pigmented
Shades don't always come out the same as the pan
Colors look a tad bit muddy and washed out after a couple hours

I got this pallete at a great discount on www.beautybay.com.
The pallete is $66 with tax in Canada but I got it for $54 on the site. However, I really don't recommend buying from the site because of the AWFUL customer service they "provide." If I can even say they provided it -_-

ANYWAY If you're interested in this pallete I definetley recommend it. It's definetley a great pallete even with it's minor downfalls.

Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe if you all liked the review :D
